2026 is a year of the Fire Horse, starting from February 17th, 2026 (Chinese New Year) and ending on March 3rd, 2026.
In Chinese astrology, the Horse is associated with independence, action, freedom, and charisma. People born in Horse years are typically energetic, charming, and driven by a desire for personal freedom and self-expression. They tend to be ambitious and love to take the lead in both work and relationships.
This is a sign that is not easily tamed. The Horse thrives in environments where it can roam freely and pursue passions without restraint. But as powerful and spontaneous as Horse energy can be, it can also be impulsive and unpredictable. This makes 2026 a year where bold decisions and sudden pivots may become a theme, both on a personal and collective level.
Years of the Horse include 2026, 2014, 2002, 1990, 1978, 1966, 1954 and 1942.
2026 Chinese New Year Celebrations will commence officially on the 17th of February. However, we will be open on Monday 16th of Feb for dinner but lunch will be takeaway only.
In welcoming the ‘Year of the Horse’ our restaurant will be open as per normal trading hours thereafter.
This will allow families, friends and relatives to catch up, sit down and exchange red packets (Ang Pow) whilst enjoying a Traditional Chinese Banquet meal together. In keeping part with this tradition, we have readily available Chinese New Year Banquet Menus for this once-a-year event. We have four different types of banquet menus on offer to best accommodate everyone’s budget and taste. Our famous Fresh Salmon Prosperity Salad is our bestselling dish and is a must try for all. You can either enjoy it in-house or pre-order it for take-away.
Our lion dance performance will be held on Wednesday 17th of February, Saturday 21st of February and Saturday 28th of February at 7:30pm, bookings are essential.
